Summary
This booklet provides guidance on waste management planning at marinas and coastal clubs. It explains the impact of the European Union Directive 1 on port reception facilities for ship generated waste and cargo residues transposed in the UK by the Merchant shipping (port waste reception facilities) regulations 2003 which came into force July 2003 and revoke the Merchant Shipping (Port Waste Reception Facilities 1997 2 to prevent waste produced on board ships from getting into the sea.
