Summary

In 2004 consultants Bowles Green Ltd were commissioned on behalf of a partnership of organisations to undertake a recreation audit of the coast of South West Wales co-terminus with the local authorities of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthen, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot in order to inform the preparation of a management strategy.

This report describes: the methodology adopted for the work; a description of demand including overview, distribution of activities across the study area, trends in participation; a description of provision for outdoor activities across the study area; a description of impacts and issues.
