Summary

Document prepared for the CoPra Seminar and Study Tour, September 2005. The aims of the event were to: examine key issues for the sustainable management of coastal erosion and flood defence; review the national, regional, subregional and local approaches to coastal erosion monitoring within the wider context of ICZM; demonstrate differing approaches to coastal defence; consider the type of research that needs to be undertaken in order to better inform coastal management.
