Summary
To make assessments of the current state of coastal marine ecosystems and the impacts of management decisions we need to know historical baselines and how and why they have changed. This study looks at the major components already in existence (such as data held by PML and MBA on the English Channel), web based data delivery systems and the Marine Life Information Network.
