Summary

An overview of monitoring work taking place around Ireland, in response to concerns over the safety in these waters by the Fishing Vessel Safety Review Group in 1996. This presentation discusses the resulting project, which included deploying 5 weather buoys around the coast of Ireland measuring the wind speed and direction, significant wave height and period, air and sea temperatures, air pressure and humidity.
