Summary
In December 2005, the UK Government issued a consultation on the draft partial UK National Strategic Plan for Fisheries which was being developed in preparation for the new European Fisheries Fund. The consultation sought views on the fisheries industry and its long-term objectives. This paper summarises the key issues raised in consultation responses and the main amendments made to the draft following consultation. Although all comments were taken into account, this summary focuses only on the main issues raised.
